In response to the strong reaction from Kenia Os' fandom, Gabo Cuevas shared a video in which he addressed the singer directly to apologize. He explained that he has received threats from his followers, although he clarified that he is not retracting his statements, only certain terms used. "Since yesterday I began to receive a series of very strong comments, threats from a fandom of a very well-known singer called Kenia Os. As a result of me insulting her by calling her 'stupid' for the strategy that she has carried out as a singer with the people she has created musical collaborations with. I have to admit that after watching the clip I said 'it wasn't cool that she said the word stupid'. However, I maintain that her strategies don't seem right to me as a musical product," declared the journalist.
Despite the controversy, Cuevas reaffirmed his position: "I do not retract, but I do retract having made a comment that was not cool in that sense. I still think the same about the strategies."
Meanwhile, Kenia Os' fans, known for their great support and loyalty towards the artist, were quick to express their opinion on social media. They considered it unacceptable that "misogynistic comments" continue to be allowed in the media and demanded respect for the singer.
